See what our customers have to say about MUST
"My business is designing and building databases to meet specific client requirements and
I have found MUST an invaluable tool for migrating Access data to SQL Server.
Of the host of features available the few that I use regularly and that have given me enormous benefit are:
- The ability to split the data migration into several steps each of which can be managed individually
- The identification of all problems within the Access data enabling these to be fixed before proceeding further
- The scripting of the Access tables so that the performance advantage of SQL Server can be fully utilised (and to provide templates that assist my development of additional data facilities)
The whole package is then topped up with a support service that responds both rapidly and friendly to offer guidance on all individual migration needs.
MUST ticks all of the boxes for excellence!"
Frank Douglass, Director, Delian Systems Ltd
The program works awesome and has saved me a ton of time.
Jim koerner, Reimelt Corporation (USA)
"I am very impressed with the conversion tool, it has saved me a lot of time today."
Julian Baker, The Access Man
"We are now nearing the end of our upsizing project. MUST is a great tool, far easier to use and much
more comprehensive than what Access provides out of the box. Other people migrating Access systems
to SQL Server should make the most of what the tool has to offer, I don't hesitate to recommend it to others
attacking upsizing projects."
Graham Parker, Exogistic and past VBUG Chairman
"Despite the final version of a database being held in SQL Server,
we nearly always develop and prototype in Access during the early stages of a project,
to enable us to discuss with the user and refine requirements. Once it has reached an acceptable stage
it is then Upsized using MUST to SQL Server, using Access or .NET as the front end."
Karen Spencer, Partner and Business Manager, Gravitas IT solutions
"We design business critical database solutions for senior corporate clients and researched extensively
before choosing MUST, which we have found to be very effective and cost efficient.
Additionally we have taken advantage of consultancy services to optimise our designs and provide
professional SQL Server installations. Using schemas has improved the management of our designs and
full database auditing provided traceability. We now have a very productive business relationship
where we can focus on continuing to develop solutions using Access and then be assured a seamless
transition when moving the data into SQL Server."
Douglas Jackson, Managing Director,By Results Ltd
"Looking over the features and how the software is setup, and I’m really impressed!... It already found
the main reason why the built-in access upsizer failed: invalid dates... It looks like I should be able
to finish the whole process for this database much sooner than I’d anticipated. Thanks for a great product,
well worth the money!"
Jon Jaques, Coastal Data Enterprises
"Firstly looks a great product, this is going to save me weeks in converting an Access
application… Thanks for prompt reply… Just got to say you certainly work at a problem,
I am most impressed… Thanks again for all your efforts. Your support has been second to none."
Steve O'Connor, LEE Filters
"We have successfully upsized 5 large and complex MS Access databases to SQL using
MUST. It had paid for itself in, the time it saved us, on completion of the second database.
This clearly represents a superb return on investment"

"Definitely worth looking at if you have a few users in your business who are closet Access developers."
was Andrew Fryers comment on his technet blog
"MUST is developed by an accomplished upsizing practitioner ; it is much more than a manufacturer’s ‘tick the box’ tool.
Numerous features are available to fix the underlying issues that cause upsizing errors. Even troublesome unique indexes
with multiple nulls are seamlessly converted to triggers. Every row in the database is accounted for.
Changes, fixes, errors and much, much more are logged, pinpointing any residual issue.
The querydef conversion rate I achieved was well over 90%. There is a solution for embedded form references and a
test harness for checking the upsized results. Queries that don’t upsize because, say, they reference linked spreadsheets
are clearly identified. Optionally, SQL scripts are generated making the process reproducible.
Ideal for our phased deployment of read only users first, with a daily overnight data refresh from Access to SQL Server
during the transition."
Gillian Mackenzie, Database Administrator, BizzEnergy Limited
"I work for East Berkshire College, developing in-house applications. I struggled for some time trying to link an Access front-end to SQL Server - my applications always seemed to be too complex for the Microsoft upgrade tool.
MUST has made upgrade so much easier, I can understand it and customize the procedure as I wish.
It's a great time-saver too, and the company is so approachable and supportive.Great value for money!"
Steve Pitt, East Berkshire College
I want to let you know that "Must+SQL" tool is really, really wonderful; very good job.
I have been diving a little bit into your website; I have discovered a lot of good papers about Access, SQL and Upsizing.
I never saw (and I am working with Access for 10 years) a place like yours, it is amazing.
The examples are very well described, detailed and focused in key areas.
I want to congratulate you for this excellent job and also thank you to make developer's life much easier.
Angel Mazo, AMN Desarrollos (USA)
"FANTASTIC! What was going to take me hours hand (re)coding Stored Procs just worked – straight out of the box.
Its worth every cent. Thankyou."
