Over the past 15 years ASC Associates have acted as consultants to Software Houses and developers for International Manufacturing Companies and some of the worlds’ largest financial institutions. While building up this wealth of experience there was a desire to create a one-stop tool to provide businesses with a practical and cost-effective solution for upsizing their current Access databases to the latest platforms; MUST is the solution.

MUST products are a powerful collection of self-contained database-migration products that span from translating Access Databases to SQL Server, .NET, Azure and Sharepoint. These upsizing technologies are in use by over 100 companies who succeeded in boosting productivity and saving money.

Though our products can translate up to roughly 89% of queries in Access applications, we understand that the process of migrating mission critical applications requires resource on the ground to make things happen. We also provide this resource and can guide your developers in making the best strategic decisions on how to move the business forwards in delivering better solutions.

We have a track record of both delivering very complex client-server applications using SQL Server to end-users, and acting as advisors to other software houses in enabling them to make the transition to utilising new technologies in their products and services.

For many years we have trained software developers, we run both public courses and can provide programs tailored to a specific clients needs. Our two most popular courses are on SQL Server and Web Development. We also provide programs to design and deliver complete training programs to corporate organisations enabling developers to embrace new technologies.

We have vast experience in designing software systems for many business; these include manufacturing, medicine, finance and many other sectors. All of our systems are developed using Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Visual Studio technologies.We believe that we have a unique take on upsizing applications, which can blend the needs of an organisation to achieve strategic goals of increased stability and flexibility in multi-user access to applications, whilst achieving these goals within a realistic time-scale.

Andrew Couch - Director ASC Associates

As a founder member of the UK Access User Group, Andrew Couch has worked as magazine editor, guest speaker, Trainer and currently runs the web site for his group and the UK Office User Group. He organises workshops and training sessions to support both of these groups and is a regular speaker at TechNet. His support of Microsoft products in promoting excellence in product and system development credited him with Access MVP status in 2008 which he has since retained.

Having started a career writing assembly code through working with most popular programming languages; over the past 15 years he has worked with a variety of databases and client-server developments.

Andrew currently specialises in migrating large Access databases from Access back-ends to SQL Server for a variety of organisations. He has recently increased his involvement in .NET development and the application of web technologies.

Over the past 10 years he and clients have been using MUST (Migration Upsizing SQL Tool), which he has now launched as a commercial product. Andrew Couch has acted as a Technical Reviewer for Microsoft Press - Microsoft® Access® 2010 Inside Out by Jeff Conrad and John Viescas. He has also published his own book with Microsoft Press - Microsoft® Access® 2010 VBA Programming Inside Out which is available on sale from 25th July 2011.
